ConflictTour partners with NGOs, refugee resettlement agencies, community leaders, and humanitarian organizations around the world. These partners open doors, provide context, and connect our participants to communities in need. But these partners have limits — many operate on thin budgets in difficult environments. Some are themselves recovering from the wars they now help others document.

What Partners Cannot Do
Emergency Evacuation
Our local partners are humanitarian workers, not first responders in active crisis situations. They cannot extract you from a dangerous area, arrange helicopters, convoy escorts, or emergency flights. If conditions deteriorate, you must execute your own evacuation plan using your own resources and judgment — without waiting for direction from ConflictTour or its partners.
Travel Arrangements
Partners are focused on serving their communities — not on booking flights or arranging transportation for international visitors. You are responsible for all flights, ground transportation, and internal travel during your stay. Partners may provide recommendations or introduce you to trusted local drivers, but they cannot manage your itinerary or guarantee the safety of any transportation.
Financial Support
Our partners operate on limited budgets, often funded by small grants that barely cover their core mission. You are responsible for: international health and travel insurance, all transportation, accommodation and food, visa fees, medical expenses, and communication costs. Neither ConflictTour nor its partners can cover these expenses.
Legal Responsibility
Our partners are not your employers or guarantors — they are hosts. They are not legally responsible for your safety, cannot sign documents on your behalf, cannot intervene with local authorities, and cannot resolve immigration issues. You are a guest in their community and must handle all legal and administrative matters yourself.

And they share expertise earned through years of service in difficult places. Our partners carry the daily weight of serving their communities long after international visitors have returned home. We ask that you honor their limitations by showing up prepared and self-sufficient.
