Terms of Use

Last Updated: 2025. Please read these terms carefully before using this website or applying to the ConflictTour program.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the ConflictTour website (the “Site”) and program. By accessing the Site or submitting an application or inquiry, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this Site.

1. About ConflictTour

ConflictTour is a humanitarian service program offering an alternative to military enlistment. We are not a travel agency, tour operator, insurance provider, employer, or government agency. We are an educational and advocacy organization that trains and places participants with partner organizations for humanitarian service.

2. Eligibility

Participation in ConflictTour is open to adults who are 18 years of age or older. By submitting an application, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is truthful and accurate.

3. No Guarantee of Safety

ConflictTour does not guarantee the safety of any participant at any time, on either the Local Track or the International Track. Participation in any humanitarian service carries inherent risks. By applying to and enrolling in the program, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Risk Acknowledgment page and accept all associated risks.

ConflictTour does not provide insurance, medical evacuation, or extraction services under any circumstances. You assume full personal responsibility for your safety, health, and wellbeing.

4. No Employment Relationship

Participation in ConflictTour does not create an employment relationship between you and ConflictTour or between you and any partner organization. You are not an employee, contractor, or agent of ConflictTour. Partner organizations are not your employers.

5. Financial Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all costs associated with your participation, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, food, insurance, medical expenses, visa fees, and communication costs. ConflictTour does not provide stipends or financial assistance unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.

6. Conduct and Program Dismissal

You agree to uphold the ConflictTour Pledge at all times during your participation. ConflictTour reserves the right to dismiss any participant from the program at any time for violation of the Pledge, misconduct, dishonesty in the application process, behavior that harms partner organizations or the communities they serve, or any activity that endangers others. Dismissal does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid.
