By enrolling in ConflictTour, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. My Role as Witness
I understand that my role is that of a witness and servant — not a combatant or tourist. I pledge that during my enrollment and any associated activities, I will not participate in military service, take up arms, or engage with any armed forces, whether state or non-state actor.
2. International Track Risks
I understand that if I choose the International Track, I am traveling to regions that have experienced armed conflict. These areas are deemed combat-free by available travel advisories at time of placement, but I acknowledge that conditions in post-conflict zones can change rapidly and without warning.
ConflictTour does not provide insurance, medical evacuation, or extraction services. I am assuming full responsibility for my own safety and wellbeing.
3. Dignity of Those I Serve
I pledge to treat all refugees, survivors, and community members I encounter with dignity, respect, and compassion. Their stories are not content to be consumed — they are sacred testimonies to be honored.
4. Scope of My Role
I understand that my role may include documenting testimony for legal purposes, assisting with access to resources, and providing language or medical navigation support.
5. Consequences of Violation
Violation of this pledge results in immediate dismissal from the program, with no refund of fees paid.
