ConflictTour cannot do this work alone. We need organizations and professionals who share our commitment to serving war-affected communities.
ConflictTour exists at the intersection of witness and service. We train young adults to document the impact of war, advocate for refugees, and stand beside communities rebuilding from conflict. This work requires a network of partners who bring expertise, resources, and on-the-ground presence. We are actively building that network.
1. Trauma Preparation & Therapy Partners
Our participants encounter stories of profound loss and resilience. This work changes a person — and can wound a person if they are not properly supported. We seek partners who can:
- Provide pre-deployment training in trauma-informed communication and self-care
- Offer psychological debriefing services during and after field placement
- Provide vicarious trauma resources for staff and participants
- Offer crisis counseling for participants who encounter acute distress
Organizations like the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) represent the depth of expertise we seek. If your organization provides trauma training or mental health support for humanitarian workers or refugee communities, we welcome a conversation.
2. Field NGOs & Community Organizations
ConflictTour participants do not arrive in communities as strangers — they come alongside trusted local organizations that have spent years building relationships. We seek NGO partners who can:
- Host participants and introduce them to families who have agreed to share their stories
- Provide context about the history and current realities of the region
- Offer guidance on cultural norms so participants serve respectfully
- Connect participants with interpreters and local resources
- Monitor the quality of the work and ensure it serves community needs
Organizations similar to the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and the Maram Foundation — with deep field presence and strong community relationships — are ideal partners.
Note: As detailed in our Partner Limitations page, field partners are not responsible for participant safety, evacuation, transportation, or personal expenses. Their role is to guide the work, not to manage the worker.
3. Funding Partners
We seek grants and donations from foundations focused on peacebuilding or refugee rights, government aid agencies with humanitarian innovation mandates, corporate social responsibility programs, and individual donors. Funding support can help us provide stipends for participants with limited means, develop training curriculum, strengthen our partner network, and document our impact.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
Insurance & Evacuation Services
Participants must carry comprehensive international travel insurance. We seek relationships with providers who understand the unique needs of humanitarian travelers to post-conflict regions — such as organizations specializing in war, political violence, and terrorism coverage, medical evacuation, and NGO-specific crisis support. We do not endorse specific providers, but can connect participants with vetted options.
Telecom & Connectivity
Communication is essential for safety and connection in post-conflict zones. We seek telecom partners who can offer affordable international data plans, emergency satellite services, and connectivity solutions for refugee communities.
Other Providers
We are open to partnerships with legal advisors on visa compliance, medical evacuation companies, training organizations, and technology platforms supporting documentation, translation, or ethical fundraising.
Partnership Expectations — What It Does Not Include
- We cannot pay partners for oversight or hosting at this stage, though we actively seek funding to change this.
- Partners are not responsible for participant safety — participants assume full responsibility for their own wellbeing.
- Partners do not employ participants — they are trained guests, not volunteers or staff.
- Partnership does not imply mutual endorsement of all organizational activities or positions.
